The basics

Everyone can start their own campaign on Peoplegogo. Non-governmental organizations (NGOs), companies and individuals you see on Peoplegogo have complete control and responsibility over their campaigns. They spend weeks building their campaign pages, shooting their videos, and brainstorming what should they offer to people in return of the funds and the volunteering they offer. When they're ready, creators launch their campaign and share it with their community.

Every campaign creator sets their campaign's funding goal and deadline. If people like the campaign, they can pledge money to make it happen and participate with their own time and skills. If the campaign succeeds in reaching its goal, all supporters' credit cards are charged when time expires. Those who want to voluneteer will be contacted by the campaign creator. If the campaign falls short, no one is charged. Funding on Peoplegogo is all-or-nothing.

A lot of supporters are rallying around their friends' campaigns. Some are supporting people and organisations they've long admired. Many are just inspired by a new idea which helps society. Others are inspired by a campaign's rewards.

Helping a campaign is more than just giving someone money and your own time. It's supporting their dream to do something valuable for the society, people and the world.

It is up to the campaign's creator to give rewards to their supporters.

We allow creative campaigns in the worlds of Social Change and Volunteering campaigns.

Everything on Peoplegogo must be a campaign. A campaign has a clear goal, like planting trees, volunteer activity for helping orangutans in South America, and so on. A campaign will eventually be completed, and something will be produced by it.

It's the campaign creator's responsibility to complete their campaign. Peoplegogo is not involved in the development of the campaigns themselves.

Peoplegogo does not guarantee campaigns or investigate a creator's ability to complete their campaigns. On Peoplegogo, supporters ultimately decide the validity and worthiness of a campaign by whether they decide to fund it or volunteer.

If a campaign is successfully funded, Peoplegogo applies a 5% fee to the funds collected. All payments are processed securely by our third-party payments partner, Stripe. These payment processing fees work out to roughly 3-5%.

If the campaign does not reach its funding goal, there are no fees.
